Learn how to combine coding with fundamental geometric shapes to generate your own art work in a fun educational workshop.

Interact with your art as you create it using a special hardware device called Picoboard.

Engrave your art into wood with our laser cutter and proudly display it for family and friends.

This will be a five week workshop. We will start by learning how to draw our own custom sprites, the simple building blocks that we will use to compose our art.  After learning some basic artistic principles we will begin to explore how simple shapes can be used to create a piece of art.  We will learn and use code to help generate and transform these shapes into something new.  The Picoboard will provide realtime collabrative interaction as we create our art piece.  Finally we will engrave our art into wood for a class art show.

Part 1:

Starting: Thursday, March 19th, 2015

Ending: Thursday, April 2th, 2015
